Hey Gang, Jill here! I just wanted to pop in super quick—I had a bunch of conversations today with some clients and I know it’s frustrating when the scale doesn’t move. Believe me, I know!
But I’m here to tell you something important: don’t give up!
The mentality that so many of us have of “If the scale doesn’t move, I quit”. Try not to do that. Really focus in on just getting yourself healthier. If the weight loss comes, great. But don’t give up just because the scale doesn’t show the numbers that you want it to and just throw all your hard work out.
I promise you if you are doing all the right things, it will eventually come on down.
So you can do this gang. Progress not perfection is this week’s motto for my clients and I want you to embrace that too. Embrace the fact that it’s not always going to be easy. Embrace the fact that it’s about your health and getting yourself healthier. And get out of the diet mentality.
And if we get away from the number on the scale and stop freaking out every time that number doesn’t change the way we want it to and just say the heck with it. I understand there are days you just want to throw in the towel and just say I’m done, I’m not going to to do it anymore.
But you know what?
Tomorrow might be the day or the day after. And in the meantime, your body is getting stronger. You’re changing that fat to muscle ratio if you’re eating right and exercising. So don’t let that scale control you. Hang in there, do it for your health. Don’t just do it for the number on the scale. Don’t give up. You’ve got this!
