Are struggles with reigning in your health and fitness starting to frustrate you?
If so, you’re definitely not alone! Trust me, I’ve been there and so have many others that I’ve worked with as a personal trainer and coach over the years.
Health and fitness have both helped me through some of the most difficult times in my life, including battling the dreaded “C” word TWICE. And it wasn’t until I started incorporating proper nutrition and at least 30 minutes of fitness into my daily routine that I started to truly discover my confidence, strength and what I was capable of. Which is why I’m so passionate about helping others do the same.
Now, one thing that we all need to keep in mind while on our journey to better health is that healthy doesn’t happen overnight. And the key to living a healthy lifestyle is all about making small positive choices that compound over time to get you to where you want to be.

So if getting back on track with your health and fitness is something that you are currently struggling with but you’re feeling overwhelmed, here are some helpful tips to get you started on the right foot:
1. Don’t Put Too Much Pressure On Yourself: There’s nothing wrong with wanting to do our best, but it’s important that we remember that perfection does not exist. There will be days where you’re totally on point and there will be days where you find yourself struggling. Both are completely normal and part of the journey!
2. Understand Why You Want To Make This Change In Your Life: When making a lifestyle change, it’s extremely important to understand why you are making this change and why you feel that now is the best time for you to do so. Challenge yourself to write your why down on a piece of paper and put it somewhere that you can see it each and every day for motivation and encouragement.
3. Make Small Changes Overtime: Trying to change too many things about our lifestyle at once can be extremely overwhelming and confusing. And when we try to take on too many things at once, it’s more likely that we won’t follow through with them long term. So instead of trying to make a ton of changes at once, choose one aspect of health and fitness that you would like to improve upon each week and go from there.
I hope that you find these tips helpful on your journey! And please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or would like guidance on your journey. I’d be so happy to help you ❤
