Always Remember: We ALL Matter

Hey Gang, Jill here popping in super quick with a topic that I really couldn’t wait to share with you. But first off, we’re getting settled in Florida so I’m back!

You know, everything happens for a reason and I have to say that maybe the big guy upstairs put me here for a reason. I know that some of you know that this location wasn’t the end all be all of where I wanted to be and leaving was a lot harder than I expected. I’ve honestly been a little bit homesick.

But this is about YOU. This is about each and every single one of you letting you know that you ALL matter.

Do You Like What You See When You Look In The Mirror?

Do you like what you see when you look in the mirror?

I can totally relate after just finishing up treatment for thyroid cancer and gaining 20 pounds, there isn’t much about my body that I like right now. So how do you go about changing that body image of yourself?

I’d like to give you a few tips because if you’re really suffering from poor body image or not liking what you see in the mirror, you’re not going to be your best self.

Thyroid And Weight Loss: How One Affects The Other

Just wanted to touch base a little bit on thyroid and weight loss issues. I spent some really great quality time yesterday with an integrative medicine doctor who specializes in this type of area. And one of the things that came out of it was that as long as your thyroid is out of whack, especially those of us who are working to find your right dosage of thyroid medication, your body knows that is going on and it’s going to hold onto whatever weight it has.

How Much Water Should You Be Drinking A Day?

I just finished teaching a boot camp to my amazing clients and it got me thinking—they were really struggling with getting enough fluids in. So we went over a few little guidelines on water and I thought, “You know what? How many of us don’t really even how much we should be drinking?”

So I decided to talk to you here today a little about what water does for us. So here we go!

What’s Stopping You From Feeling Better?

This has been a really special week for me, and a tough week in the same time as it’s my farewell tour of teaching fitness classes here in Connecticut. Having everyone reach out to me and show up for my last classes has really been special. But it’s also been a really emotional week in many ways. You know, teaching my last set of classes I always envisioned I’d be at my peak of health and fitness. And I’m not there. And the frustration that that can cause.

What Does Healthy Really Look Like?

Hey, everyone! Jill Here 🙂

I just wanted to pop in really quick with something that came up especially today as I was at the hair salon. And that is, what does healthy look like?

You know, going through cancer twice now and being that cancer advocate, I feel like even though you don’t always feel good on the inside, which is what cancer does to so many of us. We don’t always feel good inside.  A lot of time we feel really crappy. But then people will say oh but you look so good! And it got me thinking today because I got that comment twice today.

So what does healthy really look like? What does healthy feel like?

Getting Back On Track With Your Health and Fitness

Are struggles with reigning in your health and fitness starting to frustrate you?
If so, you’re definitely not alone! Trust me, I’ve been there and so have many others that I’ve worked with as a personal trainer and coach over the years.
Health and fitness have both helped me through some of the most difficult times in my life, including battling the dreaded “C” word TWICE. And it wasn’t until I started incorporating proper nutrition and at least 30 minutes of fitness into my daily routine that I started to truly discover my confidence, strength and what I was capable of. Which is why I’m so passionate about helping others do the same.
