I fell in love with the 21 Day Fix, when I first heard that 21 Day Fix Extreme was coming out, I literally screamed YIPEE, I love a good challenge! What I love about this program is that the same amazing approach to nutrition as The 21 Day Fix, meaning there’s no counting, no guessing, and no wondering what to eat. Just easy to follow portion control and one 30 minute workout per day for only 21 days but they took the fitness to a whole new level!
Let me break it down!
In this program it includes:

- Plyo Fix Extreme: An explosive lower-body workout that uses jumping and resistance to torch calories and sculpt muscles.
- Upper Fix Extreme: By alternating opposing muscle groups, this no-rest upper-body workout will help shred your chest, back, shoulders, and arms.
- Lower Fix Extreme: Glutes, quads, hamstrings, and calves will get stronger, leaner, and more defined with challenging resistance work.
- Pilates Fix Extreme: Using a resistance band for every exercise, this intense mat workout works the entire body, placing emphasis on the core.
- Cardio Fix Extreme: Combining weighted cardio moves with traditional metabolic training intervals keeps your heart rate soaring.
- Yoga Fix Extreme: A fast-paced flow yoga class, combining strength, balance, flexibility, and power.
Yes the workouts are amazing and challenging but what really excites me about this program is the nutrition color coded portion container system. It makes nutrition EXTREMELY SIMPLE, if it fits in the proper container you can eat it! It also has recipes, shopping lists and tally sheets to make sure you are on track! Now this nutrition program differs from the original 21 Day Fix because there are formulas to calculate your eating bracket (example below) and nutrition us much more strict meaning now more treats on this plan BUT remember it is only 21 days, you got this!
In your 21 Day Fix Extreme Kit , we receive 6 color coded containers.
1 Green Container = Vegetables
- 1 Purple Container = Fruits
- 1 Red Container = Protein
- 1 Yellow Container = Carbohydrates
- 1 Blue Container = Healthy Fats
- 2 Orange Containers = Seeds & Oils/Dressings
The most common question I hear is “Jill I only get to eat ONE of each container a day???” The answer to that question is NO, you get to eat as many containers as your body needs based on a simple formula:
EXAMPLE MODERATE LIFESTYLE
Weight= 150 pounds x 12 = 1,800 ← your caloric baseline
1800 + 450 = 2,250 ← your caloric needs
2,250 – 750 = 1,500 ← your caloric target
Ok, now that we have your caloric target, we can now see what the heck that means?! That number shows us exactly how many of which container you will be using (see above)! If we use the example above 1,300 caloric target that would put you in the 1,200 – 1,400 calorie bracket! But remember this calculation goes off of weight so if you are a male weighing in at 200 pounds you would NOT be eating the same amount as a female weighing 150 pounds, thank goodness!
